The size almost always comes from the images.
A scanned document, a folder of photos or an exported slide deck quickly reach tens of megabytes. Most email services refuse attachments above 25 MB.
Does compressing damage my document?
The text stays intact, only the images lose fineness.
We never rewrite text, fonts or vector drawings. A compressed document stays readable and printable.
What if my file has nothing to give?
We return the original, and we tell you so.
Of five documents measured before opening, three already had images at the right resolution for a screen. Reducing them would have gained nothing and only spoiled the result.
How do I know the gain is worth the loss?
We measure every image before touching it, and we only touch those above the target.

They go lower on two rows, and we looked into why. On the invoices, their file loses 233 invisible markers that let a screen reader find the columns again. On the atlas, their images keep half as many dots, and that fineness is what lets you see a lesion when you zoom in.
What separates the two, 24 MB out of 186, is thirteen points. Both files go through where the original did not. The difference in quality is not of the same order.

How long does it take?

A file ten times larger does not take ten times longer. The time follows the number of dots to decode, never the weight of the file.

- How long is my file kept?
- 24 hours on the free plan, up to 30 days with the Professional plan. At expiry the file, the link and the related information are deleted for good, with no history.
- Will my document lose quality?
- Text and drawings come out identical. Only images above the target resolution are reduced, and if the gain is small we return the original.
